Verkäuferkommentare zu 1963' MG Mgb Roadster Mk 1

My lovely MGB received a total nut and bolt restoration at great expense in 2009/10. The 1798cc engine with 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and overdrive option has only covered 7,000 miles since rebuild. The car is in mint and correct condition and is NOT A HERITAGE SHELL REBUILD.
There is a huge history folder accompanying the vehicle along with a photographic record of the restoration work carried out (bills totaling £24,000). The history details the names and dates of previous ownership, for example the first lady owner who lived in Devon bought the car new in 1963 and kept it until 1999 (she must have been very fond of the car to keep it for 36 years!) The second owner had the car for eleven years before selling in 2010 to the third owner (the chairman of the MG club in Exeter) who enjoyed and also offered the car on a long term loan basis to be displayed at The British Motor Museum at Gaydon. The MG was also used as a reference guide to restorers because of its original build specification.

In recent years (November 2014) the car went in to MG specialists Robin Lackford for some subtle upgrades to improve the driving experience; fitting of Polybushes to front and rear suspension, uprated anti roll bar, specialist trimming services to fit new mohair hood and tonneau and engine tune. Again in 2017 the car went to Robin Lackford for new rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes.

Stunningly finished in iris blue my 1963 'pull handle' roadster is complimented by dark blue leather trim piped in white with a dark blue mohair hood and tonneau. As you will see from the pictures the engine bay is correct to the original specification.
The car now has agreed value insurance via the club scheme for £30,000 which will give you an indication of its overall condition. The car drives superbly and is in first class in every respect having previously been described on the Panorama Bay website by Sir Gary Davis as follows; ‘In fact, this vehicle is believed to be the best MGB in Europe’. The engine bay is detailed and the underside is as clean as the bodywork.
The car is simply stunning throughout and drives impeccably. It could be stored as a long term investment and entered in to future concours events but at the same time it could be driven and enjoyed. The car comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and is a Vehicle of Historical Interest (VHI).
I’ve enjoyed the car and it’s wanted for nothing in my ownership, it is now time for me to sell and for the next custodian to enjoy.
Please call for more details. Available for viewing in Lewes Sussex at weekends only. Would consider straight swap with mint genuine UK MGA or TR6 that has a comprehensive history file from new or cash.
