The MG TD is a 2 door roadster style vehicle with a front mounted engine powering the rear wheels.The 1.25 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, overhead valve, 4 cylinder that develops 65 bhp (66 PS/48 kW) of power at 5500 rpm, and maximum torque of 103 N·m (76 lb·ft/10.5 kgm) at 3000 rpm. The engine delivers its power through to the wheels via a 4 speed manual 'box. Having a claimed kerb weight of 912 kg, the MG TD can dispense with the 0-60 mph benchmark sprint in 16.3 seconds and the quarter mile from rest in 20.7 seconds.
