Verkäuferkommentare zu 1952' Morris Minor Tourer

I am reducing my collection and have started with one of my favourite models. This is the mm model as it started out life with a sidevalve engine (designed in the 1930s with 30s performance) and a rather long gearstick, it is a factory made tourer. I have owned it for 4 years and have found it the best open tourer I have owned. It runs easily and is so light to handle which is important when considering a 50s car.
The previous owner kept it for 25 yrs immediately from its restoration by The Bristol Morris Minor Workshop company. During his time he took it to California on 2 occasions-it experienced an earthquake!
The Morris now has the later reliable 1098cc engine/gearbox fitted and bigger front brake assemblies. The interior has been retrimmed in a heavy duty vinyl (the chairs are very comfortable with a good rake angle ) this gives a light airy feel to the inside. All metal wings and a sound body throughout.
I have carried out 2 worthy mods, firstly a 3.7 differential unit (replaces the 4.5) a much better match to the power of the engine and cruises with lower revs. Also a brake servo now pulls up the car with confidence.
The hood is sound and water tight and well used in a dark period cloth and the paintwork all very good as is the chrome (the hood bag is serviceable).Flashing indicators are discreetly fitted with working semaphores for shows only! The original Bristol reg. No. is still with the car.
The engine is very eager, uses no water and has minimal oil consumption, the gearbox is excellent throughout. It has the usual small drip from the engine rear seal when stationary for some days.
Inside I have fitted 2 front matching armrests-I think essential to restful driving. There is the rarely fitted correct time clock which keeps perfect time due to its quartz movement. The speedo reads a little slow now due to the change of diff. but can be re calibrated by a specialist company if thought annoying.
A feature not appreciated by most is that having 2 glass windows each side ( I am informed that henceforth the model was known as a convertible )the back draught is much reduced and the efficient variable speed heater is essential to winter motoring so can be used for much of the year. Radial tyres fitted all round. It is a 1952 car which drives like a much newer model easily keeping pace with modern traffic.
The car comes with a box of history and manuals also many usable spares (with old diff. and new old stock front bumper valence ) also a heavy duty soft cover.
I have priced it at a sensible level which reflects its current worth and not at the £12K-£16K at which you can see others offered at. It can be driven home any distance as is totally reliable.
It is only available due to ill health otherwise I would be driving her for many more years and miles.
