1946 Studebaker 3-litre Pick-up Reg. no. NAS 538 Chassis no. M5C245471 Engine no. details below2 Founded in 1852 as the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company, the firm was originally a producer of wagons for farmers, miners, and the military. Studebaker entered the automotive market in 1902 and started making trucks after 1919. The M-series Studebaker, of which this is one, was a 1/2 ton wagon, and following WWII the company was given permission to produce some M Series trucks for civilian use, having built them previously just for military use. This fabulous and powerful example is very sound having been imported from South Africa about 15 years ago, and we are told that it has never been welded. It was restored a few years ago and is now finished in brown and cream, with a brown vinyl interior. Not only practical, but eye catching and lots of fun, this pick-up is offered with a V5c.
This and 60 other classic cars and motorcycles will be sold on June 15th at Allington, near Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN14 6LJ. All enquiries to details below44 or look at the fully illustrated catalogue online at richardedmondsauctions.com
