Verkäuferkommentare zu 1935' Triumph Gloria

Here we have my 1935 Triumph GLORIA 10.8 HP SALOON. A VERY RARE CAR, AN UNFINISHED RESTORATION. A SMASHING PROJECT.
With V5 and comes with it’s original registration number, old green log book and chassis plate. The car has always been in dry storage for the last 45 years, that I know.
I have owned the car for the last 27 years. I purchased the car as a complete original untouched rolling car, missing only it’s sliding roof. Since then its been an on and off restoration ( I have too many projects) Reluctantly I have now decided to let this rare car go to someone who will put her back on the road again.
The original engine has been totally rebuilt with new white metal bearings, new pistons and anything else that was needed, it was then bench tested and sounded great and has been turned over regularly by hand ever since.
All of the Ash frame that needed replacing was replaced and the sunroof apiture was relined by a leading pre-war/ Truimph restorer in Oxford 18 years ago , this was at a cost of £4,500 back then.
The cars original chrome grill and badge are in lovely condition, as are the original headlights and bonnet. 75% of the cars chrome parts have been rechromed including the bumper bars and are stored away.
There is the original spare wheel on the car.
The original instruments have been professionally restored and packed away.
The 2 original front seats have been professionally restored with their original Dunlopillo bladders , to original spec and stored in the loft. The seats are mid to dark green leather , as I was going to eventually paint the car 2 tone green or green and black. There are two large matching green leather hides to do the back seats and doors when ready.
The original chassis and running gear have not been touched and will need restoring but the chassis is in a very solid unrestored condition and will need no repairs. ( due to very good dry storage)
The front and rear wings were removed along time ago and were blasted. They now have just surface rust, they are in a good solid condition and require only minor easy repair. The aluminium body is in very sound and good condition with only preparation needed.
There are 4 new tyres and a few new spares.
I reiterate, the car will need chassis and running gear restoring, rewireing , re- upholstering and reassembling.
I am looking for £6,500 for this rare car, it has cost me double that up to now. Project cars like this do not come up very often, I have only seen one of these cars in 25 years at our local car shows!
The first 2 photographs are of the car when I purchased it all those years ago. More photos of the car in it’s present state to follow - ( once I’ve accessed and uncovered the car in my garage!) as soon as possible, but in the meantime if you are interested and have any questions , reasonable offers only, please ring or email.
Price £6,500 , offers invited.
