1958' Atkinson Mk1 6 wheel Flatbed

Originally fitted with a Gardner 6LW engine and a 5 speed david brown gearbox now has a 150 Gardner engine and a 6 speed david brown overdrive gearbox and double drive. Full air brakes (unusual for a 1958!!). mechanically good. 23ft 6" platform. Cab and other bits. require a small amount of work/repair. Drive axle hubs rebuilt and resealed, new backplates made and fitted, all brake chambers resealed. All gear linkage rebuilt. Two new batteries supplied. Genuine reason for reluctant sale. Owner was an HGV mechanic but has a progressive medical condition ,and is no longer able to drive or work on this vehicle. Vehicle is located in Scottish Borders 40mins from Edinburgh.
Because this vehicle was made before 1960 i believe it can be driven on a car licence no need for an HGV licence. See DLVA INF52 . This vehicle is MOT and Tax exempt.
