The Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider is an open two-seater manufactured between 1958 and 1962, designed by the Touring coachbuilder according to the Superleggera principle. It belongs to an era when Alfa Romeo offered cars with a classic layout— a longitudinally mounted four-cylinder engine at the front and rear-wheel drive—and when the brand focused more on mechanical refinement than on mass production. At the time, the 2000 Spider was a more luxurious successor to the successful Giulietta, intended more for relaxed and refined driving than for purely sporting use. Its technical design, build quality, and timelessly balanced styling make it a sought-after collector’s car among classic Italian convertibles today. This particular car dates from 1961 and is equipped with a 1, 961 cm³ inline-four engine connected to a five-speed manual gearbox. It was imported to the Czech Republic from Italy in 2013, where it had previously undergone a complete restoration. Since its import, it has had only one owner, who regularly kept the car in roadworthy condition. In 2018, the master brake cylinder, the entire braking system, the clutch, as well as the oils and filters were replaced. Maintenance continued in 2021 with a replacement of the operating fluids, and in 2023 with the restoration of the fuel tank and repairs to the carburetors. The car is distinguished by an elegant combination of white paintwork and a red interior, giving it the distinctive character typical of the finest Italian convertibles of its era.
