Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1954' Cadillac Fleetwood
Classic luxury fans know to pay attention when a car like this 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limo becomes available. Reserved only for the top elite, these always command respect. So its a true upper-echelon stunner to find one where there have been the right investments in upholding its luxury image, while also upgraded areas like the V8, chassis, and air conditioning. You instantly knew someone special was arriving when you saw one of these long-wheelbase Caddys pulling up. The Series 75 sedan/limo had a distinct long profile and tall roof line that instantly conveyed opulence. In fact, the same money at the Chevy dealership in 1954 could have bought three Bel Airs. Because of this pricing level, there were less than 1,500 factory Fleetwood bodies that were produced that year. So just imagine how many have survived to be this complete over 65 years later! This large Caddy was carefully restored as part of a seven-year project, and there has only been about 2,500 miles put on since completion. It makes for a true shining standout that has the kind of bright white paint that can match the wide whitewall tires. The iconic chrome has a mirror-like polish everywhere from the pointed Dagmars up front, to the form-fitting rear bumper with integrated dual exhaust. And even the details are nice, everywhere from the window rubber to the fender skirts. This great care also hides a larger secret. As you dig a little deeper, youre going to see that this was restored with an updated chassis and motor. And when you also see the condition of the interior, it becomes clear that this can be a great personal classic and/or something to earn its keep as the ultimate vintage wedding limousine. Inside is a tasteful tan leather interior with a nice button-top presentation. And we always love the look of plenty of brightwork on the wraparound dash. You have some great features like power windows and an iPod hookup behind the classic AM radio. This is even set up to be a more comfortable driver with a later Cadillac steering wheel on a tilt column (it signals other upgrades youll see later.) Theres also cold-blowing air conditioning for both the front and rear. Not only does the back have its own independent A/C vents, but also theres a tidy look, supple leather upholstery, and true limo legroom. So people will love being back here no matter if youre working an event or just transporting family in vintage luxury. The ultra-clean engine bay gives you a clear view to the big V8. This car was born in the era of the outstanding Cadillac OHV engine, but now it benefits from evolution. This is 472 cubic-inch version thats much large than what was available in 1954. In fact, this was bored .30 over and has a four-barrel carburetor on top. The motor isnt the only later model upgrade. The Series 75 retained its wheelbase for generations, and so the consigner fitted a powder-coated and full restored chassis from a 1968 Fleetwood under this classic. And as you look at the undercarriage photos, it shows an exceptionally clean presentation with underside body paint and a look that almost makes these seem like it was meant to be this way from day one. The real advantage here is that the front and rear suspension benefit from a nice evolution that greatly improves the ride and handling. The full package also has a strong/smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with front discs. So it really is easy to make side money for a Saturday wedding and then enjoy your Sunday at the car show. This is an exceptionally rare classic that also has been upgraded for modern use.
