Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1958' Chevrolet Impala
The 1958 Chevrolet Impala is an intricate and sough-after design. So it only get better on a classic that is not only quite complete, but also it shows signs of terrific originality everywhere - including on the 348ci V8. This is an important year because Chevy launched the Impala name on the range-topping 1958 car, and this was on a one-year styling, so it will always have classic appeal. This is a factory Onyx Black car, and the consignor even states its the original application. It has that classic single-stage look, and there are aged-in details up close. So while it will be difficult to fully prove originally, it certainly looks the part. The result is a car that retains a good gloss to get respect at spotlights, and when youre showing it off, theres also a story to tell. Plus, the all-important brightwork is not only part of the originality claim, but also its complete and shining. We love the big grille and bumper combo up front that announced the longer, lower, and wider 58 Chevy. The full-length bright strip loves to show case the well-kept nature of this coupe. Theres a delicate trim line that starts in the rear quarters and seamlessly wrap around the taillights for an appearance like tailfins turned on their side. And those stylish factory wheel covers are at the center of newer whitewalls. So the whole package has an impressiveness that goes beyond its originality. Tri-tone interiors were the Impalas calling card, and the gray, black, and turquoise is a nicely presented example of a factory package. Everything from the bright insert in the door panels to the excellent carpeting appears well-respected. The black seats get a cool tri-tone insert that both breaks up the sea of darkness, and adds distinction. So you will happily roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and show off the inside. The dashboard is a big step forward compared to 1957, and the correct two-spoke jet-age inspired steering wheel is beautifully finished with lots of bright details. The gauges are nicely rendered with crisp numbers on black backgrounds. And it really is a correct package, right down to the AM radio thats sill cranking out tunes. On a coupe so nicely presented so far, youll love lifting the hood to see a correct looking engine bay. It gets the vintage presentation correct from the generator to the decal on the air grabber. And in the center of it all is the bright 348 cubic-inch V8. That was the big motor for 1958, and this show the right signs of being original to this F-code car. The consignor even claims that the motor was properly refreshed 7,000 miles ago with new rings, seals, bearings, and heads reworked. And the way it run today reaffirms that it has been given proper care. The V8 inhales deeply with the four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a mighty tune from the dual exhaust. The Powerglide automatic transmission is also part of the original-style packaging, and it makes this hardtop great for a Sunday drive. The sale comes complete with the original dealer invoice, original documentation, previous registration slips, maintenance receipts, and a large service manual. Theres even an article from 1958 about the first owner. Its all part of a package that helps tell the story of a unique and significant classic. So if you want a respected vintage car that also has a real history, call today!
