Fresh out of the speed shop ready for a cross country run! This beautiful car was in good condition when it was purchased from the previous owner, but we decided to take it to the next level, as if it would be an everyday driver. We started with an overall inspection. Then did all the repairs we would do, as if we were going to give this to our own mother. We completely resealed the engine, as well as, installing a new oil pump. Every gasket was replaced and while the cylinder heads were off to replace the gasket; we cleaned all the carbon off the valves and pistons. We then reseated all the valves, updated the rear main seal, replaced the harmonic balancer and seal just to be sure. We didn’t want to risk having any leaks on a friend’s driveway. We also completely rebuilt the transmission. We replaced the radiator, hoses, and thermostat. We put a nice electric fan in front of the radiator; just in case the car is ever shown in a slow speed parade. The fan will keep that air flowing nicely at any speed. After all that work was done, we decided to replace the carburetor and tune this 312ci engine to its fullest potential. Boy she purrs. We noticed that the car was slightly leaning on the right (the typical Tbird lean), so we put new springs in the front with 4 new shocks. The brakes and steering components were almost new so nothing was needed there. We went through the electrical systems and replaced the neutral safety switch. We have since put around 250 miles on this gorgeous 1956 Thunderbird, without a single issue. This Thunderbird could make a cross country trip if you so desire; with no problem. At our documented loss we are asking $48,500.00
