Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1968' Lancia Fulvia

Model history

Before dealing with further Flavia developments, another model had to be introduced. It became the most successful Lancia of the pre-Fiat era and was called the Fulvia. Lancia decided to make the Fulvia a scaled-down version of the Flavia, using many as common mechanical parts as possible for commercial reasons. Except for the engine, the Lancia V4 closely followed Appia architecture with its separate crankcase and cylinder block.

The first Fulvia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. She looked very attractive in its day and had a very individual character. Zagato launched the Fulvia Sport coupe in 1967. Compared with the extravagant style of the Flavia Zagato, the more graceful and aerodynamic lines made this Zagato aesthetically more acceptable and successful. By the end of 1970, Zagato carried on with the 2nd Series 1600 Sport. Some of the Zagato’s most unusual features were lost. Changes included a taller ride height for a 2+2 configuration.

This example

This delightful Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato is one of approximately just 1.602 Series I 1.3 ever built. This model used the 1.298cc engine from the Rallye 1.3 and produced 87hp at 6.000rpm.

She was delivered in Rome, Italy on 2 October 1968 to a Mr. M. Catelle. Mr. Catelle kept the car 25 years. In 1993 this Fulvia Sport was exported to the Netherlands and remained here since. Only 2 Dutch owners: 1st Dutch owner from 1993 until 1997, 2nd Dutch owner from from 1998 until 2016.

In the Dutch period the engine has been rebuilt (2004) with ancillaries and the brakes and suspension were rebuilt. A gearbox with 11/39 reduction was fitted. The body was extensively restored with new sills, new floor pans, new subframe and repainted bodywork. The interior has been retrimmed in black leather with new carpets. A nice history file with all work done comes with the car.

The car presents very well with nice paint and very nice panel fit. The interior is in lovely shape with as new leather seats. The car starts easily and runs very well. The engine feels sweet and powerful. The gearbox is smooth and the brakes work well. She is a delight to drive.

The car comes with several invoices and is complete with the original Italian ‘'Carta di Circolazione’’. She has been lovely maintained in the owners collection next to several other Lancia Zagato’s. The car is Dutch registered and comes with a fresh APK roadworthy test (like MOT/TUV/CT) upon delivery.

Price is a very affordable euro 39.800,- (approximately £34.500,- at the time of writing). For this you get a lovely and coach built car which really stands out in the classic car world.
