Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1927' Mercedes-Benz 300
Sensational find of a Mercedes-Benz "Mannheim" as a charity auction at the Classic-Gala Schwetzingen 2021
As one of the main attractions of this year's Classic Gala in Schwetzingen (Germany), an exceptionally well-preserved Mercedes-Benz 12/ 55 PS Type 300 "Mannheim" from 1927 will be auctioned for a good cause from 3-5 September.
The "Mannheim" is considered the "barn find of the decade" and is being offered to the public for the first time. It is possibly the last "Mannheim" in the world that is in pristine original condition. 85% of the proceeds of the sale will be used directly for the cancer treatment of a relative of the seller. The remaining 15% will be donated to the non-profit organisation Brustkrebs Deutschland (Breast Cancer Germany) for an emergency aid project to provide psychological support for patients suffering from breast cancer.
The vehicle offered for the charity auction is the very rare first production series of the W 03, of which only 3, 854 vehicles were manufactured between 1926 and 1928. Thus, this type 300 is also one of the very first passenger cars to be given the brand name "Mercedes-Benz". The overall substance of the Mercedes-Benz is exceptionally good. The wooden body and also the axles are in tact. The door frames and running boards are solid and show no weak points. The barn find has the rarely preserved radiator screw fitting with Mercedes star, the fuel filler cap refined with a relief, as well as the immaculately preserved rear lamp and rear ashtray made of crystal glass.
The price is an estimate of the auction price and may change significantly.
The 12/ 55 PS Type 300 is offered exclusively through the hybrid auction house MyCarmunity. Every interested party can ask his or her questions via the comment function of the respective auction and, if interested, directly arrange an appointment for an inspection. MyCarmunity takes the idea of fairness very seriously. Unlike traditional houses, MyCarmunity only charges a premium of 5. 95% of the highest bidder, which is capped at €6, 000.
