Selling on behalf of a customer who has just taken in PX.
Not many of these Mercedes where built in RHD. This was due there being a trade embargo on German goods to the UK in the years after WW11. This was only recently lifted in the couple of years prior to the build of this vehicle.
This makes this car extremely rare & more valuable. As you can see if you look around there are several advertised that are LHD. We have struggled to find another in RHD. We are not experts on these cars & therefore not able to accurately value. However looking on Car & Classic there are a few in LHD priced from £45,000 for a restoration project to £99,995 for a recently fully restored vehicle in top condition.
Therefore all we can say is we are looking for offers.
The car has been in the ownership for the last 4 years of a lovely guy who is a classic enthusiast with many cars, & has looked after & improved the vehicle. A considerable amount of time & money has been spent on the vehicle at Stewart Walker Ltd a Rolls Royce, Bentley & Prestige Classic Specialists whilst in his ownership. The total bills on file with just this garage are in excess of £30,000.
This recent work is predominantly on mechanical rather than cosmetic. For example, engine works & ancilliaries, transmission, brakes & axle re-build. All this work is things you can't see, however this will ensure a low maintenance future for this vehicle in that respect & a great driving reliable vehicle.
On file are photos of a major restoration. I have been unable to date this at present, however it is most likely judging the condition of the vehicle which is excellent, been in recent years, however pre-dating the last owners ownership, I just haven't been able to go through all the history file as it is very extensive.
The interior is also in great condition as you can see from the photos.
Therefore we are willing to talk regarding offers from sensible genuine buyers. A PX will be considered for another Classic Vehicle.
The car is currently in Cheltenham where viewings are welcomed, however the car will be going to Bolton for storage purposes in mid December if it remains unsold.
