This charming Farina A60 was registered on 23rd January 1968 to Mr John Bridge of Chigwell in Essex and has been in continuous use throughout its 52 year lifespan . This is evidenced by the MOT certificates on file from 1971 to 2020 which also pleasingly contains the original green VE60 logbook. The last 3 MOT tests have been passed without any advisories .The durable B series unit fires into life with very little choke and quickly settles down to a reassuring beat associated with these engines which of course are fitted to the ever popular MGB albeit with and increase cubic capacity and twin carburettors.
The interior still retains its original bule leather trim and headlining. Whilst the body is solid , it would benefit from some cosmetic tidying . The Hpi report shows that it is free from any accident damage or adverse issues.
A great opportunity to acquire a genuine and largely original Oxford that can be used whilst also improved.
The Morris Oxford Farina were produced by Morris of from 1959 to 1971. Named by W R Morris after the city of dreaming spires, the university town in which he grew up, the manufacture of Morris's Oxford cars had helped to turn the south-side of Oxford into a thriving industrial area. Like its predecessors, the Morris Oxford for the 1960s was a four-cylinder family car. The Oxford (Farina) competed with models such as the Singer Gazelle and Vauxhall Victor.
