Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1961' Renault Dauphine Gordini
Along with the Volkswagen Beetle and the Fiat 500, the Renault Dauphine played a significant role in pioneering the modern European economy car. Utilising an 845cc inline-4, these tiny and space-efficient cars were built with minimal fuel consumption in mind. As well as releasing the standard model, a “Gordini” version was offered. These rare examples were performance tuned by Amedee Gordini increasing the power output to 37hp, and were offered with a sporty 4-speed transmission. These vehicles saw motorsport success all over the world, including taking out the first 4 spaces at the 1956 Mille Miglia and winning the 1958 Mote Carlo Rally. Our 1961 Renault Dauphine Gordini is a factory right-hand-drive, matching numbers vehicle presenting in its original “French Racing Blue”. While the paintwork needs some attention, the bodywork is straight and rust-free, and the car runs well. This example, being highly original, needs some TLC and would make a great project car. The very rare and unique Dauphine Gordini would be a sound investment and an excellent addition to any collection. *Test Drive and Viewing by Appointment Only
