Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1930' Rolls-Royce Phantom Ii

1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II in the style of a Park Ward 4 seater coupé.
Chassis Number: 137GY
Registration Number: DS 8181 (Originally UY 3537 – See text)
137GY was first delivered to a Mrs C H Palethorpe on the 13 February 1931. Originally fitted with Pullman Limousine coachwork by Barker; this car remained in the UK until 1969. The car was then sent to the USA, specifically California. Having passed through the hands of several owners in California, 137GY was bought by Roger Fry of Kalamunda, Western Australia in October 1986.
Whilst in the ownership of Mr Fry the car was the subject of a major restoration. The coachwork has been built in the style of a Park Ward four seater Coupé similar to the 1930 Phantom II chassis number 195GY and illustrated on P.178 of Those Elegant Rolls-Royce by Lawrence Dalton. It is a credit to the restorer that they chose coachwork of this complexity rather than the usual open tourer or boat deck bodied replica which is more commonly seen. Great attention has been paid to detail throughout the restoration, resulting in a superb car.
Upon completion of the thorough restoration, 137GY was returned to the UK in 1989. It was at this time that the car was re-registered with the DVLA and was assigned its current registration number DS 8181.
Mechanically the car is presented in superb condition. As recently as 2015, 137GY was fitted with a new petrol tank manufactured to original pattern and the radiator was re-cored. Subsequently, Fiennes Restoration has undertaken a recommissioning of the car after a period in storage, with particular attention paid to the steering and the brakes, and including a full overhaul of the carburettor. Work undertaken within the last 6 months include fitting a brand new cylinder head.
The finished car now runs well, is sure to turn heads, and will be wonderful for touring. We invite you view and test drive the car to enable you to appreciate its qualities.
Thanks to the current owner's meticulousness, there is also extensive and thorough documentation of the car's history, restoration and maintenance work.
