Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1967' Sunbeam Alpine Series 5

First registered in July 1967, this is a lovely example of a classic 60’s British sports car. It is finished in gleaming Mediterranean Blue with black vinyl interior and folding soft top. The car was subject to a light restoration by its previous owner in 2007 and has always been garaged since then. The bodywork is in superb condition with all panels fitting as they should and the chromework is excellent. Steel wheels are painted in the original Foam White with chrome trims and hub caps to match. The interior has been professionally re-trimmed in black vinyl and there are matching fitted black carpets. The vinyl soft top is virtually as new and the rear window is clear.

The engine is the standard 1725cc unit with twin Stromberg 150CD carbs and there is overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears. An aftermarket electric fan is fitted. Oil pressure is excellent with a min 40lbs when idling.

Over the last couple of years a new water pump, thermostat, head gasket, brake master cylinder and battery have been fitted. The car is MoT’d until April 2018 and has historic car exemption from vehicle tax.

The odometer currently reads 99,000 miles and previous MoT certificates show that the mileage has only increased by about 12,000 miles in the past 35 years.

I have owned several Alpines over the years and this is the best example that I have had. It is a very practical and useable classic car which could either be used for daily transport or as a show car for summer weekends.

The reason for sale is that I am in the final stages of restoring another Alpine and I need the garage space. You are very welcome to come and view the car. We are located about 3 miles west of Ripon, North Yorkshire and about 8 miles from junction 48 of the A1.
