Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1972' Triumph TR6 Pi 150 Bhp
An extremely rare European (German) specification TR6 PI - chassis number: 1CP75882LP
Price: €28,900
HISTORY FILE - Our rare (PI – 110 kW / 150 bhp) example was assembled by N.V. Leyland Industries in Belgium on the 2nd of May 1972, specifically for the European market (Germany) and is confirmed - by those in the know - by its chassis number: 1CP75882LP and authenticated by British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. A total of 4 documented German owners have treasured the car, confirmed by a remarkable folder of invoices and indeed a fascinating read for those who are seeking a documented history car. Two valuations (Gutachten) appear in the file: June 1996 by the 2nd owner following a lengthy restoration. The 3rd owner added a later valuation in April 2012 keeping the file up to date. The 4th and last custodian has continued to maintain the car to a no-compromise standard. Over 90% of all LHD TR6 were shipped to the US making this German example very rare indeed. Tuev March 2019.
EXTERIOR – The unmistakable steel paneled body painted in simple ‘dark blue’, separate chassis frame with clean-cut aggressive lines. A clean overall appearance will please onlookers with all the chrome, trim glass and lights are in superb condition; both Magnatex mirrors are in perfect condition. Under bonnet presentation is excellent with the identification plate still attached revealing the true identity of this German specification rare car.
INTERIOR - The original contoured seats are finished in black P.V.C trim with ventilated facings. The black carpeting is protected by additional carpet Triumph over mats; the teak veneer dashboard and door cappings are all fine. All the controls, gauges and stalks function correctly. The full cockpit tonneau cover is in excellent condition and the boot area retains all the factory trim so slight markings can be seen. Period accessories are an expensive Motalita steering wheel. The interior roof fittings have recently been completely restored.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION - A Triumph of technical excellence best describes this smooth 6-cylinder marvel. In recent months, our car has received a no-compromise fuel injection over hall costing almost €2000 which has improved both performance and fuel economy superbly. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection (PI Petrol Injection) with 2498cc produces the famous and sought after 110 kW – (150 bhp). The overdrive changes up and down with ease.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES - The chrome 15” wires are from the restoration period towards the end of 1995 and are still in superb condition and suit the car well. The 185 / R15 93H tyres are in excellent order (TUEV March 2019). The front disk and rear drum brakes pull the car up well with a recent new main brake cylinder fitted.
