Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1975' Volkswagen Beetle
I bought this bug in 2014 from Ian Keane (Toonagh Motors) in Co. Clare.
The orange beetle was in a storage in a lock up in Limerick for a couple of years before I bought it. Apparently the last owner had a few vintage cars but moved house and had no where to put them so he rented a space and kept them there. My mechanic friend (Ian Keane) was on the look out for a nice beetle for me and spotted this for sale, did the negotiating and bought it.
The car has never been crashed.
The orange is the original colour and has never been modified.
The sunroof is original. I can tell you that in 1975 only yellow and orange bugs were produced with sunroofs. The runners have worn over time and needed a bit of work so I bought the parts brand new which are at Ian's place but never got them put in. The parts to fix same are included in the sale.
When I bought the car, the tax book was sent off to the Tax Registration Office in Shannon but I never received it back. I rang about it and they don't know what happened to it. I'm in the process of getting this sorted. This is classed as vintage tax.

The CD player stopped working but it's either a fuse that needs replacing or a wire needs adjusting.
A new battery went into it in February 2017.
I have kept it serviced and my mechanic has replaced various bits and pieces over the last couple of years. It is running great, I love it and there will be tears when I see it go but I have to be practical. I will be travelling a good bit over the next few months with work and I don't want to just leave it sitting there.
