Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1972' Volvo P 1800 Es
For sale my lovely P1800 ES for which i have just put the finishing touches to a restoration which was originally started by the previous owner, the final touches i have done are mainly interior where the seats have been recovered and brand new carpets throughout the car and fitted with the correct insulation. There have been many jobs completed to bring it up to how it is today. The car has had a full body and mechanical restoration recently and the car has mot until October 12th 2019 although now mot free but would always advise to get one, beautifully finished in red with a black interior and beige headlining. The vehicle has just been serviced and i have just fitted new insulation to the underside of the bonnet and would be very happy for any test on the vehicle. The car has 68900 miles on the clock and although not proven if you check mot on DVLA you will see it has not covered many miles over the last 12 years so probably genuine but unable to prove, she has an automatic gear box which works lovely. On the outside the car was completely stripped down to be able to assess its condition prior to any remedial work being undertaken. There was a small amount of rust, all of which was cut out a new front floor panel was fitted, also the base of the windscreen and the lower front nearside wing. In total there was more than 200 hours worked on this vehicle by the previous owner to eradicate the rust. the restoration included a full three stage bare metal respray in the original colour Volvo red (colour code 46), the work has been to a good standard by the previous owner and is in very good condition. The body and paint are to a good standard and with no visible signs of the work being done but as always we would encourage potential buyers to come and inspect the vehicle to satisfy themselves. The chrome work was re plated where necessary and the original windscreen reinstalled with new rubber seal and chrome trim in fact all the glass is original and in good condition. The black front seats and base at the rear have been recovered professionally with good soft leather and fitted with brand new carpets and underlay insulation and the door cards and headlining are in good condition, the switches and dials are mildly patinated but all appear to work has they should. Fitted with the rare automatic gearbox, the B 20 engine petrol engine runs well, the engine and gearbox was removed during the previous restoration and the owner advises that all seals were replaced, the engine also benefits from an overhaul of the Bosche Jetronic fuel system as well as a new radiator, battery and fuel pump plus air and oil filters and as already stated she has just had a service. The three- speed automatic Borg and Warner transmission has been cleaned and fitted with new seals and fresh fluid. The underside is extraordinary clean having been professionally cleaned before being treated with anti rust paint and carefully under sealed, looking at this it looks to be done very well to keep the car in this condition for many years to come. The suspension components were also cleaned and sand blasted where necessary and treated with anti rust before being reinstalled. The engine bay is similarly clean and beautifully detailed and i have put in some sound proofing under the bonnet. Unfortunately for as lovely has this car is there is very little history but if you look yourself you will know this work has been carried out the previous owner said he would forward it on but i am afraid this has not happened but nevertheless a very pretty car and truthfully only being sold due to illness and reduction of my collection. These cars are becoming very rare indeed and a car in as good condition as this will be a sure fire investment for the future, please contact me should you require any further information or to view her.
