Secret Stash Of Advan Yokohama Race Cars Wears Iconic Livery
The warehouse has a Toyota GR Supra, Toyota GR Yaris, and Formula race cars, among others.

Advan is Yokohama's high-performance brand and has a formidable motorsports presence, mostly in Japan, and it preserves its racing legacy at a private storage facility. As highlighted in the below warehouse tour, this collection is chock-full of iconic racers, many of which would be worth a fortune, which explains why the location of this secret stash has not been disclosed.

The Advan black and red livery on the race cars is almost as recognizable as some of the most iconic European and American ones like Martini Racing and Gulf Oil, respectively. It was worn by the brand's race cars for decades, including Formula 2 entries in the '80s, but has survived into the modern era of motorsport too.

One of the displays is said to be Advan's first developed Formula car. Driver Takahashi Kenji used the car to develop the brand's motorsports tires, which are still used today in motorsports series such as Japan's Super GT, where Advan is an official tire supplier, along with Bridgestone and Dunlop.

Advan also had the pleasure of joining the 1984 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing third in its first attempt with a Porsche 956B.

There are several Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC) cars in the secret location, particularly classic Toyota Corolla race cars with the Advan livery, but behind one Corolla is what appears to be the first-generation Tesla Roadster. We're not sure where the EV was used, but it's cool to see one of the roughly 2,450 produced wearing the black and red livery. Still, we'd rather stare at the combustion cars.

Perhaps the most familiar cars out of the entire collection are the Toyota GR Supra and the GR Yaris, a hot hatch that did not make it to the US despite the best efforts of enthusiasts. According to the presenter, the GR Supra is used for advertisement purposes and has appeared in some Formula Drift commercials.

Like most successful motorsports brands, Advan's love for racing, not making money, is said to be why it continues developing its products. It wouldn't be possible without the contributions of these hero cars, along with others that didn't make it to the secret facility.
