Commentaires du vendeur sur 1972' Alfa Romeo 2000 Gtv 2000 Bertone Coupe

A 1972 2000 GT Veloce - also known as the beautiful Bertone Coupe. This one is a genuine UK RHD 2000 GTV and I've had it since 2012. I took it off the road about a year after buying to give it a much needed restoration and it was back on the road in all it's glory just over a year ago.

In the last year I've had numerous weekends away in the car in the company of other classics and it always grabs the most attention.

The restoration was fairly extensive with the car receiving a lot of new panels including new sills and floors throughout, door skins, boot etc etc, and was refinished in it's original Alfa Romeo red. The engine is healthy and strong and sounds great and is very smooth. The gearbox was professionally rebuilt and the steering joints and suspension, bushes, joints, dampers, seals etc were all renewed as required. The engine, drivetrain and suspension are all to standard specification as I wanted this to be a comfortable GT (as designed) rather than a race car.

When the car was professionally painted it was a full all over, inside, outside and underneath job with the underside being coated with a durable stone protective finish in body colour so it looks as clean underneath as above. The car also had the webasto roof refurbished which makes the car a joy to drive on a dry day and keeps the rain out on a wet one.. The engine bay has a number of chromed bits that others don't seem to have, such as the radiator top and the air cleaner and although the chrome on these bits is looking a bit tired, I've left it as it's part of the car's history and the engine bay looks very impressive.

If interested, please contact me to arrange to view the car - we're in North Derbyshire.
