Commentaires du vendeur sur 1969' Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Super
The Giulia had all the hallmarks of a GTI some 15 years before Volkswagen gave name to the concept. With an all-alloy engine with twin-overhead camshafts, two double-choke carburetors, powerful disc brakes on all 4 wheels and 5-speed gearbox, the Giulia was in reality a sports car disguised as a compact family saloon. In the 1960es it took the middle manager and his family on the autostradas from Milan and Torino for a weekend swim at the beaches at Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Jesolo at cruising speeds of 150 km/h with ease. For more than a decade is also became the preferred car for the Italian police and their colleagues in the Carabinieri. So what better candidate for a full restoration other than this charismatic Giulia 1600 Super "Biscione" could there be in this class of classic cars?
So we gave this Giulia the "full treatment". The empty body was taken to bare metal and restored using original panels. Then it received a complete paint job in Grigio Medio metal. Interior is all new with new headlining, carpets and upholstery in raspberry leather. Underneath everything is new. Brakes and suspension the latter being Eibach lowered springs and yellow adjustable Koni absorbers. The 1750 engine was rebuilt some 4 years ago and has seen little use since.
The end result is quite attractive we think. A very sharp Giulia that drives superb with its extra 20 HP and added torque from the 1750 engine. Handling is sharp with the lowered and stiffened suspension without being too harsh. 15" GTA alloys with new Pirelli P6 Cinturato provides the necessary grip. A spectacular Giulia for the customer who wants the best.
