Commentaires du vendeur sur 1947' Austin
Austin’s best-selling car of the 30’s was launched in 1932 and stayed in production with various upgrades until 1947. The biggest change came in 1939 when the “GS1” was launched with semi-unitary construction. It stayed in production through the war - many were produced for the armed forces – until it was finally replaced by the A40 in 1947.
This car is a 1947 Austin 10 in cream and black. It is in beautiful condition. The paint finish is very good with just the odd minor imperfection and the body and underside are in superb order. There are a couple of bits of re-chroming required to make it excellent. The interior has been re-trimmed recently at great expense - the leather seats, headlining and carpets are excellent.
The windscreen opens as does the sunshine roof. On the road this attractive 70 year old Austin runs and drives just as well as it looks. The last owner undertook various long runs in it and only sold it to us as he was upgrading to a slightly more modern classic.
