Commentaires du vendeur sur 1951' Austin A40 A 40 Devon
The Austin A40 Devon was a replacement for the Austin Eight, ten and twelve horse power models. It was a four door saloon with a two door sister version called the Dorset. The 40 indicated the power output of the engine. The car was powered by the all new 1200 cc unit that was the predecessor to the A and B series engines that would go on to power large number of BMC and British Leyland models for years to come.
The dark green example we offer here comes with a sun roof and period radio. The car would appear to have been restored some years ago and it was treated to a replacement gearbox some 10 years ago. An ideal starter classic.
Part exchange welcome, funds either way.
