Commentaires du vendeur sur 1934' Austin Austin 7 Seven De Luxe Saloon
Charterhouse Auctioneers are pleased to offer this lot in their classic motorcycle auction on Sunday 18th June, 2017 at The Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN in conjunction with the Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show.
Lot 43
A 1934 Austin Seven De Luxe Saloon, registration number YD 9373, chassis number 191677, blue over black. Britain's answer to America's Ford Model T, Sir Herbert Austin's baby Austin would remain in production for 17 years with over 290,000 models in various forms rolling off the production line. This beautifully presented De Luxe Saloon has recently emerged from a body off restoration. The body has been resprayed in blue with black wings which complement the retrimmed light blue interior. The engine has been rebuilt, a new wiring loom has been installed and the chassis has been repainted with new running gear being replaced as necessary. After all of this hard work, the Austin certainly looked resplendent, started and sounded very healthy on our inspection to take the catalogue photographs. This Austin is now reluctantly for sale to free up garage space for the vendor's next project. RF60, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations
