1930' Austin Ulster
1930 Austin 7 Ulster
Offered for sale my lovely Austin 7 Ulster replica.
TSY 410 was originally built up in 2006 and was constructed to race both circuits and hillclimbs with the VSCC and further afield , indeed in 2007 whilst in the ownership of Malcolm McCoy , TSY won its race at Angouleme in 2007 , beating several larger cars including Amilcar specials and Lea Francis!
Built to an exceedingly high standard, it is not to be confused with a standard seven with an aluminium Ulster body popped on top !
The engine whilst remaining splash fed , has a larger high pressure oil pump for better flow, Honda pistons with big valves, double valve springs, reproduced high lift camshaft, correct Ulster exhaust manifold and 11/8SU carb with a skimmed and modified high compression head and a 3speed close ratio gearbox with c/r gears by Don Rawson.
The interior is in delightfully patinated black leather complimenting the dark burgundy paintwork in a period cellulose finish , it has a full compliment of correct Ulster gauges including Smiths rev counter and speedometer , also featuring a pressure gauge for the fuel tank and a really delightful Smiths rim wound clock .
Wheels are 19inch throughout and have brand new Longstone 3.50x19 tyres and tubes fitted.
Steering box is a correct raked Ulster item , original dropped front axle with flat springs front and back.
In very good order throughout , with various jobs recently completed , a perfect addition to any collection , modern V5 in my name and correctly registered Sports, ready to go racing once more with the VSCC !
