1934 Park Ward Derby Bentley 3 1/2 Litre drop head coupe
VEHICLE DETAILS
Bentley Chassis number B-33-BL

Border Reivers are delighted to be offering this 1934 Park Ward Derby Bentley 3 1/2 litter drop head coupe. A beautiful and highly desirable drop head coupe by Park Ward. This Park Ward Derby Bentley was supplied new to Sir George Stanley-White and the 2nd owner was Lady Beecham. It has come from long term English ownership and used for occasional tours and rallies for many years.
Six years ago the Park Ward Derby Bentley was purchased by a Spanish collector who scarcely used the Bentley during his tenure. It was collected in Madrid and transported it back to the UK. A long test drive in the heat of the Spanish Plains was carried out,the Bentley never once got hot and drove beautifully with a smooth silent powerful engine. Temperature stays between 50 & 60 Degrees. Oil pressure is excellent.
The Park Ward Derby Bentley starts instantly and pulls strongly in all gears with 60MPH cruising being effortless reached reflecting the moniker. The paintwork is finished in a dashing ‘Oxford and Cambridge’ two tone combination with the paint being in good condition. A blue double ‘duck roof’ completes the ensemble along with a matching hood bag with blue carpets. To the interior is leather in a cream colour extending to the door cards as well as all seating surfaces. The walnut woodwork has all been removed and refinished.
The Park Ward Derby Bentley had a vast amount of money spent on it by the previous owner. It sports the usual post restoration features such as a modern full flow oil filter etc. There are also some post restoration RREC bulletins/magazines with pictures of the Bentley being shown, and winning “Best in Class” prior to its sojourn in Spain. The original buff log book, factory build records, hand written correspondence from previous owners. A complete set of MOT certificates show the Bentley (from 1978) to have covered less than 1,000 miles per year during the last three decades. To Sum up, a lovely rakish Derby by a desirable coach builder in superb running condition ready for extended use, the Scottish Malts next near perhaps?
