Commentaires du vendeur sur 1946' Chevrolet Stylemaster
1946 Chevrolet Stylemaster Reg. no. 936 YUY Chassis no. t.b.a. Engine no. t.b.a. Introduced in 1945 for the 1946 model year and continuing through to 1948, the Stylemaster was part of Chevrolet’s first range of new cars after the war, along with the similar but slightly more upmarket Fleetmaster. Both two and four-door saloons were offered, together with two or five-seater coupes. Power was supplied by a 90bhp 3.5 litre ‘Blue Flame’ straight-six, which was coupled to a three-speed manual gearbox, as was the norm for American cars of the era. Unusually for a General Motors product, there was very little change between model years, so the Stylemaster was virtually unchanged in its production life, before it was replaced by the Styleline for 1949. This two-door car was first registered in the UK in 2013; currently there are no documents present, so its prior history is not known. It certainly presents very well, with good paintwork and a near-spotless cloth interior. It has various period accessories such as a sun visor, an electric fan and a heater, which combine to give it great character. Having been in storage for some time, full recommissioning is recommended; however, after collection it was charged and given some fresh fuel and started and ran very nicely. This and 100 other classic cars will be sold at auction, many UNRESERVED, on June 17th at Allington, near Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6LJ
