In 1937, the 810 was renamed 812. This new Cord offers an optional compressor. Built by Schwitzer-Cummins, this compressor, whose rotation speed reaches 24,000 rpm, allows the engine to reach a power of 170 hp. Timed on 0 to 100 km / h, this new Cord is 7 seconds faster than the non-supercharged model. The 812 was one of the fastest pre-war production cars.
The car presented, a Beverly Sedan fitted with the compressor, was owned by L.K. Newell living in Oklahoma. In 1977, he sold the car to Chariton Valley District, based in Chariton, Missouri. It was then sold to Layne E. Cochoan, then to Doctor Fernando of Rome in 1979 who exported it to Italy in 1980. During the period from 1977 to 1980, the car was exhibited at "Auburn, Cord , Duesenber Automobile Museum ”located in Auburn, Indiana.
The car was sold at the end of the 1980s and acquired by its last owner in 1989. It remained in his private collection for almost 30 years.
The paint, was probably redone in the 80s. The mechanic has been completely overhauled.

Vehicle sold with an American title and an FFVE certificate.
