Commentaires du vendeur sur 1962' Fiat 500

She has kept all her papers since 28 July 1962. For a 500, that's almost a miracle. This sky-blue Fiat Nuova 500 D was first registered in Turin. The original logbook and the Automobile Club d'Italia sheet are kept, along with the stamps of each owner: Piossasco, then Pinerolo, in the province of Turin. In 2015 she received her certificate from the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI). She was then imported into Switzerland, comprehensively restored, passed a roadworthiness inspection and registered as a veteran vehicle in 2021.THE RESTORATIONShe has a new engine, which has covered 1, 000 km since it was fitted. The gearbox, suspension, brakes, wiring loom and fuel tank have all been gone over. A detailed restoration dossier accompanies the car. The interior has been redone: red and white fabric seats with cream piping, red door cards and a laced leather steering wheel. On test, the engine runs smoothly, the clutch is spot on and the revs build cleanly.WHAT SETS HER APARTThe "suicide" doors, which Fiat dropped with the 500 F in 1965.A large burgundy canvas sunroof that folds right back to the engine lid.Her original Italian TO number plates, sold with her.The rear luggage rack, wicker basket and whitewall tyres are included.FULL TRANSPARENCYThe upholstery is a restoration trim and does not reproduce the factory pattern. The five-digit odometer shows 1, 000 km, covered since the engine was replaced; the car's original mileage is not known.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONFiat Nuova 500 D, type 110 D. Kerb weight 570 kg. Left-hand drive, 2 doors, 4 seats. Veteran vehicle registered in Switzerland, last inspection 04/ 03/ 2021, valid until 2027.BUYERS OUTSIDE SWITZERLANDThe car is over 30 years old and may qualify for the classic vehicle regime on import. I am happy to advise on the procedure.Watch the presentation video attached to this listing: you will hear the engine and see her driving through the vineyards of the Valais Chablais.
