For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a 1934 Ford Coupe with all the right bells and whistles. This 34 Coupe boasts an all original steel full fendered body. It has suicide doors with smoking windows. In quintessential hot rod fashion, the top was chopped 2.5 inches, and the front window was laid back 1 inch. These little changes make a massive difference in the silhouette of the vehicle, and give it a very menacing look on the streets. The red is none other than Ferrari’s Rosa Corsa, easily the most famous red to every grace sheet metal. Of course, this isn’t just some dolled up old body on old underpinnings, and it’s not just a bunch of factory parts thrown together either. This Street Rod means business. The front suspension is an all stainless independent front suspension by Kugel with Wilwood brakes. The rear end is a Mark Williams aluminum 9 bolt with Richmond 3.56 Pro Gears, Detroit Locker, Mark Williams 35 Spline Chromo Prostreet Axles, 4 link suspension, and Mark Williams 4 piston brakes. All of this is tied together by a Lakeman Chassis works custom chassis.

Of course, there is a reason all of the underpinnings on this rod are serious pieces. There is a serious drivetrain hiding under the hood. Zeller Custom Engines from Lake Havasu, Arizona built a custom Chevy Big Block for this beast. The list reads like a properly built bracket car: aluminum Keith Black 540 Big Block Chevy, Dart Pro 1325 CFM heads ported by Morgan Engineering, L.A. Enterprises crank and rods, JE pistons, Hogan highrise aluminum intake manifold, dual Braswell B-11 Series Holley 750 carburetors that can also run through a FAST throttle body fuel injection, T&D shaft rockers, Comp mechanical roller camshaft, Griffin aluminum radiator, and an ATI super dampener. Breathing out of custom fabricated 2 ¼” headers and 4” side pipes, this monster lets everyone know that you mean business. All of this spins a ultimate vasco TH400 tranmission build by Mike’s Transmission, equipped with a Mondello flywheel, a CSI super shield, and a Gear Venders 2 speed overdrive.

Terrorizing small children isn’t this car’s sole purpose though, as it provides a very inviting interior to command the road from. Custom leather upholstery on the Glide Engineering seats keep you comfortable, and Hot Rod elite series air conditioning keeps you cool. Should you decide that your right foot isn’t the soundtrack for you, a hidden sound system with a 10 CD changer will happily provide any tunes that your heart could desire.

There is even more to this build than what we have mentioned above, but surely this is enough to pique the interest of anyone in search of a serious street rod. I
