Commentaires du vendeur sur 1930' Ford Model A
The Ford Model A has deservedly earned its reputation as one of the toughest vintage cars out there and is a firm favourite among competitors. Its reliability, ease of maintenance and parts availability make it a remarkably practical prewar car.
This desirable US import example (with the larger 3.3 ltr engine) has served me well and is more than capable on today's roads. In my ownership I have converted it to 12V electrics with a (VSCC eligible) Lucas C40 dynamo and discreet LED indicators, whereby the sidelights remain white but flash amber when indicating. A hidden USB charger allows the use of satnav while driving. A spin-on oil filter, maintenance-free leakless water pump, manifold heater and rear luggage trunk all add to this car's usability. It has benefitted from regular oil changes and had a set of four new Lucas tyres fitted by Longstone last year.
Cosmetically, the car is in good condition with good paint all round, other than the rear left wing which has been scraped and some blistering at the bottom right of the scuttle, which hasn't advanced during my ownership (close up pictures of these available on request).
I have enjoyed many miles of reliable motoring in this car, and successfully completed two VSCC trials (in class 2A, standard long wheelbase).
