The Ford Mustang, introduced in 1964, created the so-called pony car segment—sporty yet affordable vehicles with long hoods and short rear ends. The 1966 model year brought minor updates compared with the first versions: a revised radiator grille, new decorative trim, and a wider range of equipment. The chassis remained technically simple—a front axle with wishbones and coil springs, and a solid rear axle on longitudinal leaf springs. The interior was designed with an emphasis on versatility: customers could choose from dozens of combinations of equipment and engines, which was one of the reasons for the model’s phenomenal sales success. The example offered here is a 1966 Mustang Coupé equipped with a 4. 7-liter V8 (289 ** in) and an automatic transmission, corresponding to the original factory specification. The car was imported to the Czech Republic in 2009 after long-term use by a single owner in the USA; it has since had two owners in the Czech Republic.
