Commentaires du vendeur sur 1961' Hillman Husky 2
For sale my Husky Series 2. The car originally was an export so LHD and spent most of its life on the island of Gran Canaria Spain so the bodywork has not suffered from rust. Rootes used Huskies and Commer Cob vans as support vehicles for the rally cars such as Rapiers and Alpines, they were usually tuned and driven by the competition department mechanics, they also used larger Commer and Karrier vehicles along with Humber estates. It represents one of these vehicles with white perspex side panels keeping the export sliding windows and could be replaced with the glass if required. The car has been checked over, braking system replaced/ overhauled, engine dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned and checked, new rings and bearings, rebuilt cylinder head with unleaded conversion with larger valves, new clutch unit and slave cylinder, new water pump and cleaned out radiator, new exhaust, fuel pump kit etc. Bumpers have new front and rechromed rear. The Venetian red was freshened up as it was repainted before the wrong shade of red. It runs and drives and is Mot'd. The car is also fitted with a new Sundym laminated screen with new rubber and new rear screen rubber and chrome trim insert. The fuel tank has been cleaned out and treated with an ethanolsealant to protect it. The car has good radial tyres and really only needs the interior front seats retrimming and may be carpets instead of the original rubber mats to finish it. Because it was in a hot climate it was never fitted with a heater but it comes with a correct rebuilt heater unit and blower unit and a new interior control unit.
