Commentaires du vendeur sur 1972' Lamborghini Jarama

Lamborghini Jarama GT 400 "1 Series"

This vehicle is in a very original and beautifully preserved condition.

The gaps are very good and the doors close almost by themselves with a wonderfully sound.

This vehicle was beautifully illustrated in the Dutch Octane magazine.

Registration: 01. March 1972
Mileage: 64.474 Km
Power:   257 KW / 350 HP

Disegno di Bertone - Marcello Gandini
This vehicle was also designed by Marcello Gandini. Marcello Gandini created automotive icons such as the Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach, Lancia Stratos, Maserati Khamsin, Alfa Romeo Montreal and many others

177 vehicles were manufactured from the first series of the Lamborghini Jarama GT. Overall (GT Series 1 + GTS Series 2) to be only 327 vehicles produced.

It is the last V12 front engine GranTurismo from Lamborghini
(apart from the SUV LM002)

In 1972, the company Lamborghini was still 100% owned by Ferruccio Lamborghini.

A true rarity and a "real" Lamborghini !!!

These documents I own to the vehicle:

Owners manual (signed by Valentino Balboni)
Spare Parts Catalog (Catalogo pezzi di Ricambio)
Lamborghini "Certificate of vehicle original configuration" (original data sheet from Lamborghini Factory)
The Dutch Octane Magazine No.13 from December 2014 in which the offered vehicle is beautifully described and illustrated.
The Dutch Auto Week of January 2007 in which the offered vehicle with a Maserati Khamsin and a Ferrari 365 GTC / 4 is compared.
The german Auto Motor Sport of August 14, 1971. In this issue is a very extensive report on the Lamborghini Jarama.
I also have the original fog lights for the vehicle.

The following is known to me about the vehicle history:

First delivery Switzerland
1972 Delivery by the company Foitek (Lamborghini partner in Switzerland). Unfortunately, the company Foitek has no documents or information about to whom they have delivered the vehicle.
I have located the penultimate owner from Switzerland and I am in contact with him. He promised me to send more information about the vehicle to me.
Since 2001 - 2015 owned by a vintage car enthusiast from the Netherlands.
Since 2015 in my possession

I have just had the following things done on the vehicle in a specialized workshop:

Renewed clutch cylinder
Brake fluid renewed
Renewed cooling water
Oil change
Valve play controlled

Special equipment:

Talbot exterior mirrors (original from Lamborghini factory)
Philips cassette radio (original from Lamborghini factory)
Air conditioning (original from Lamborghini factory)

These things distinguish the GT (first series) apart from the GTS (second series)

The GTS has "NOT" the beautiful Campagnolo rims from the Lamborghini Miura with central closure but the 5-hole Campagnolo rims from the Lamborghini Espada Series II and III.

The GTS has in addition to the two Naca air intakes in the hood nor the wide air intake in the middle.
The GTS has a completely different dashboard
The GTS has a power steering
The GTS has a different exhaust system
In the GTS, a coolant expansion tank sits above the valve covers, concealing the shrink-lacquered valve covers with the beautiful Lamborghini lettering. That's too bad.

According to an interview with Thoroughbred & Classic Car magazine in 1991, Ferruccio Lamborghini is said to have made the following commentary on the Lamborghini Jarama:
"I prefer the Jarama to all the others, because it is the perfect compromise between the Miura and the Espada. The Miura is a sport car for the young at heart who wants to go bright and love to be seen. Myself, I considered the Miura too extrovert after a while. In turn, the Espada was my Rolls Royce: still quite fast, but so large and comfortable. The Jarama is the perfect car if you just want to have one car. "

I also have this magazine with me.

The car is located in Northern Germany

The airport in Bremen is only 15 minutes away from my house and every day there are planes flying very cheap from London Stansted or Edinburgh to Bremen.

Price : 139.000 EURO
