Marcos 1600GT: 1968 Registration No. ERO 99G: Chassis #5227

This is a rare and very special, wooden chassis Marcos of which only around 200 cars of this model were originally made as hand-built factory cars in Greenland Mills, Bradford on Avon between 1967 and 1969. This particular car has a singular and remarkable history which covers the past 37 years from 1982 onwards with extensive records and documentation to confirm the history plus invoices going back 37 years.

This is no 'Q' plate 1980's kit car with a rusty chassis and little provenance nor is it a stripped-out racer not suitable for road use but a genuine and rare, wooden chassis 1600GT which has had many thousands of pounds expended on it over the years to bring the car to it's current outstanding condition and which is therefore reflected in the asking price.

A true classic sports car of the 1960's which was good enough for Rod Stewart, until he discovered model railways.
This car now starts 'on the button' and goes like the wind as it weighs in at only around 750kgs.
