Commentaires du vendeur sur 1969' Mercedes-Benz 280

Mythical car, the "PAGODA" is the work of French designer Paul Bracq. More than 23,885 units produced from 1967 to 1971, this 280 SL version is now seen as the most refined iteration of the W113 series.
Its Bosch direct injection six-cylinder in-line engine develops 170 BPH at 5,750 rpm, reaching a top speed of 115 mph. The 4-speed manual gearbox plus reverse gear is precise and the ATE disc brakes are highly efficient.
This roadster impressed with its unique comfort, exceptional performance and driving safety. The inwardly curved removable coupé roof is visually reminiscent of the curved roofs of Asian temples.

This European White Pagoda, matching numbers with french license plate, has undergone a very high quality full restoration in original parts.

INTERIOR: Complete quality restoration, new dark “chocolate” leathers, new carpets, new door panels, new alpaca hood. Fittings carefully restored. Steering wheel repainted. Restored woodwork. Excellent state of presentation.

MECHANICS: Complete restoration of mechanics, engine and accessories, injection, alternator, starter, radiator. Gearbox checked, complete trains rebuilt, new complete brakes, new exhaust, new BILSTEIN shock absorbers, new mastervac.
150 kms from the restoration. Excellent handling on the test
Excellent general working condition. New Vredestein tires

BASEMENT & BODYWORK: Complete restoration, body stripped bare. Platform and chassis in very good condition, no signs of impact nor visible perforating corrosion, bodywork restored with great care. Professionally painted. Chrome and accessories restored, in excellent condition.
