Commentaires du vendeur sur 1969' MG Mgb Gt B Gt

Due to starting my own business, I need to sell my pride and joy to help fund the next chapter in my career. This is NOT an easy decision and like many of you may have experienced is an emotional roller coaster. Here are the details followed by a fair bit of nostalgic waffle...
This is an original RHD UK car. 64,732 miles (104,176 Kilometers) Completely restored in 2010 by MG specialist Tim Kelly. 4 speed + manual overdrive on 3rd & 4th gears. 1950cc Oselli Stage 2 Fast Road Engine conversion has approximately 8k miles on it. 123 Ignition Distributor, Maniflow tubular long branch exhaust system, K&N air filters, Minilite style 15-inch alloy wheels
The following parts were fitted by Frontline Developments in Steventon, Abingdon,UK;
• Front telescopic damper suspension kit
• Lower inner wishbone polyurethane bush car set
• Upper outer trunnion polyurethane bush car set
• 480 lbs springs
• ¾ inch anti-roll bar and polyurethane bushes
• Negative camber wishbone arms
• 5 – link rear suspension kit
• 4-pot alloy brake kit with vented discs
• Braided brake hose kit
• Rear brake disc conversion
• Single line brake master cylinder kit
• Brake servo + pipes and fittings
• Aluminium radiator
• High power cooling fan with electronic controller
• High torque starter motor
• High capacity battery & relocation to boot
• Engine push start button
I have owned this great little car for just over 7 years. In that time, I have spent thousands of pounds/euros modifying it to perform and handle to it's true potential, but keeping it looking as close to a standard car as possible.
With the increase in capacity to 1950cc this car pulls very strongly through the rev range and the manual overdrive engages/disengages very nicely. It will easily keep up with modern motorway traffic and will cruise happily all day long at 130kph (80 mph). Hence, long distance touring is a pleasurable and impressive experience for a car that will be 50 years old this year.
Frontline Developments further improved this BGT with some excellent upgrades to the suspension and braking (see list above). The completely new front and rear suspension set-up compliments the extra 'grunt' and the brake conversion brings it all to a halt with the feel and power of a younger car.
Since having the car over here with me in Germany, I have carried out all of the servicing and maintenance at regular intervals myself. I have been a Motorsport Engineer for nearly twenty years and I enjoy keeping my cars in good running order. (I do not trust many people to work on my cars)
We have had lots of fun using this car for Classic Regularity Rallies here in Germany, Austria and back in the UK. Over that time, it has never let me down. This car was never going to be a 'Garage Queen' and has been used and enjoyed as was intended. It does however present very well and is completely rust free and solid. It is kept in a heated garage when not in use.
I have hundreds of photos, including the full 'bare metal' restoration and stacks of receipts and documents since I have owned the car. Please get in touch if you would like anymore info, photos or details. Serious offers only and Email inquiries are preferred please.
