Commentaires du vendeur sur 1957' Morris Isis Series 2
Price now reduced. Selling my series 2 Morris Isis to fund a new project. The Isis was the Morris competitor for the Austin Westminster and shared the same 2.6 litre C series engine. Unfortunately nowhere near as successful as the Westminster and so sold in low numbers before being discontinued. Nowadays a rare sight with only 11 examples believed to be in roadworthy condition, so when attending shows will almost certainly be the only one. The Isis was unusual in that to maintain a 6 seater status the gearchange was located on the floor at the right-hand side of the driver, just forward of the handbrake. Spares are easy to come by as the engine was not only shared with the Westminster but also the Healey. The bodyshell from the windscreen back is the same as the series 3 Morris Oxford which was produced in large numbers. This Isis underwent a resoration a few years ago and is in great condition. It was assembled in Durban South Africa where it remained until 1997 and so is virtually rust free. Vital Statistics 2640cc 3 speed manual gearbox with working overdrive, 90 bhp @ 4500 rpm A rare part of British motoring history and comes with a host of spares.
