Commentaires du vendeur sur 1959' Morris Minor

The time has come for my friend to find a new home. Having been subjected to a full strip down, the chassis has had all rotten metal cut out and replaced with new, no patching here. The underside is absolutely solid as can hopefully be seen in the photos but please come and inspect for yourself! This work was completed around 4 years ago and black chassis paint has kept it very well protected since. Coming to the top side of the vehicle, the paint had been cracking so I removed most of it to prevent rust pockets and it’s now protected by a thin layer of surface rust. It took years for nature to create this effect! The engine has been replaced a year ago with a fully rebuilt 1100 unit married to the original gearbox. This rebuild included additional valve guide seals, new main bearings, valves, oil pump etc. Receipts can be provided for this. Following the rebuild she embarked on a journey of over 3000 miles to the south of Italy and back where she performed very reliably and charmingly. She’s always excited to fire up and get moving. Recently I added an electronic ignition, alternator and electric fuel pump. Perhaps not expected from the appearance of the car but most parts have either been refurbished or renewed over the past few years. There are a couple of things that need attention with the car before she’s back in regular use. The breaking system has developed a leak and I suspect it to be from the master cylinder since the brake lines were replaced with copper pipes and new cyclinders and shoes where put on the front. The tracking could do with being checked as she slid off the road in ice and clipped a curb which has slightly bent the front chassis leg. The reason for sale is simply because I am moving abroad and I’d rather she was stretching her legs than being closed up in the garage.
