Commentaires du vendeur sur 1971' Morris Minor Van
The Morris Minor Van and Pick-up were built from 1953 until the end of Minor production in 1972. They differed from the salon car in having a separate chassis rather than a unitary body-shell. Mechanical specifications were the same as the saloon and engine sizes grew as they did in the other models – first 803cc then 948cc and finally from 1962, 1098cc. From 1968 until 1972 the van was also available with an Austin badge and matching corporate “crinkle-cut” radiator grille, probably in order to widen the van’s appeal to loyal Austin customers when the A35 van was discontinued. These versions are now quite rare. Values for classic commercials have risen steadily but these practical and stylish vehicles still offer great value for money, particularly if you own a business. This van is a 1971 Austin 6CWT van in white with a black interior. It is an older restoration in outstanding condition and come to us from long term ownership. The underside and chassis are excellent and the cab is in beautiful order inside and out with a good quality carpet set, (matching in the load area) newly re-trimmed seats and new glove box inners. The back is a lightweight and very high quality GRP item produced by renown Minor panels manufacturer “Henricks”. On the road this van drives just as well as it looks, the gearbox was re-built a few thousand miles ago and more recently it has had new wheel cylinders, carburettor and fuel pump. We have just carried out some re-commissioning and a full engine service. Ready to use or show and great value. Please call if more detail is required. Viewing near Woburn, Beds.
