Commentaires du vendeur sur 1923' Overland Touring
Building four-cylinder cars only from 1910, John North Willys’ revitalised Overland company went from strength to strength, production increasing steadily until by the start of WWI only Ford could claim a higher output. Willys even had the temerity to introduce a direct competitor to Ford’s Model T, but by the time the Overland Model 4 arrived in time for the 1920 season, its $945 price tag (more than double that of the equivalent Model T) placed it in an entirely different market sector. The 2,346cc (27hp) four-cylinder engine and 100” wheelbase were retained when the 4’s designation changed to Model 91 for 1923, when a larger, 106”-wheelbase Model 92 was introduced together with a 2,523cc (30hp) engine which would appear to have been available in both models.
This vehicle was restored to its former glory around ten years ago, as you will see it was done very well and is still now in great shape. It is registered on the Finnish museum registry, to qualify for this the vehicle if thoroughly inspected and has to be as original as possible.
It is in fully working order and is used regularly in the summer months attending car shows.
The only thing that lets the car down is the fuel tank, it is dented due to being reversed into a post. This could be easily covered or repaired if required, does not leak.
The car is in Finland and can be shipped to your front door in the UK or worldwide, please ask for a price. Shipping to Southampton & Harwich costs £650 and is to be added to the final price.
Please know that I will help you in every way possible with the purchase. I have good contacts for shipping the vehicle all over Europe and UK If you would like to come and view the vehicle before purchasing that would be great but if it isn't possible to come and view I will do my best to give you as much information and as many photos as you require. I myself buy a lot from foreign countries so I know exactly the situation you are in.
There is no import duty to pay into the UK as it is classed as -Movement of goods within the EU (UK is still part of the EU) but of course you can look into this yourself.
