This lovely 1975 Silver Shadow I first came to us in 2013 when we supplied it to a local customer for £12, 000. Over the last 13 years he had the car serviced locally and covered 8160 miles ticking the odometer over therefore showing 100160 miles from new. NLJ272P was supplied new by Mann Egerton & Co Ltd, Berkeley Street, London W1 and delivered to its first owner in Dorset on the 19th of September 1975. We have copies of the original bill of sale, car specification and the full fifty-page factory history book detailing the cars assembly/ build and road test reports. The car comes with a comprehensive history file including service records and receipts, MOT certificates back to 1984 and a photographic record of a professional body restoration.NLJ 272P has covered 100, 160 miles from new and presents beautifully. From the history file we know Mann Egerton & Co Ltd maintained the Rolls Royce between 1979 and 1982, servicing the car at 39601 miles, 41622 and 44597 miles. Between 1986 and 1999 the car was owned by a Bristol based Company who spent over £12, 000 on maintenance and repairs over their 13-year ownership period. The most significant work was re-conditioning the gearbox, overhauling cylinder heads, a re-bore, new engine mountings and air-conditioning work. The next owner kept the car from 1999 to 2008 and invoices for this period total almost £8000. Again, all invoices have been kept with the vehicle, and this expenditure includes substantial brake and suspension work. Since 1999 the Rolls Royce has been serviced at 78107, 79183, 82560, 84055, 85464, 86601, 87753 and 88771 miles. Since 2009, a further £3800 has been spent taking the total expenditure since 1986 in excessive of £23, 000. In 2009 the Rolls Royce was professionally re-sprayed and today presents well. The paintwork was of a very high standard, and the chrome work was fantastic when we first supplied the car. Having covered generous mileage and being thoroughly enjoyed, the exterior has nice patina. The interior is stunning and original, and with such superb maintenance it is clear previous owners have carefully looked after this top-class example.On the road our Rolls Royce is first class in every respect. The car is what you would expect of a Rolls Royce; quiet, luxurious, smooth and top quality. The car performs perfectly with excellent performance, smooth gear changes and is an absolute delight to drive. The car has been maintained to very high standards and has been meticulously looked after.
