Commentaires du vendeur sur 1934' Rover Speed Fouteen Tourer
Not a lot is known about the early days of this car. We do know it is the only ’34 Speed Fourteen tourer left (unless someone knows different). There are two other ’34 non-Speed model Fourteen tourers, one in Switzerland and the other in the UK.
The car was first registered in Glasgow in February 1934 and is recorded as coming off the road in May 1963. She was purchased by the Rover Car Company in 1988 when restoration was started by Rover apprentices at the Gaydon Heritage centre.
Partway through the work, Rover, as we know, ran into a spot of bother and in 2003 the car was sold off in the controversial Rover ‘Sale of the Century’. Acquired by a sympathetic German owner, a careful and rather expensive restoration was continued.
The current owner acquired the car in 2008 and is now downsizing and significantly reducing his collection.
