Unique complete hand built 1961 MGTC replica, (no kit car!!) LHD

Offered for sale for a person who can appreciate her, otherwise I will keep enjoying her myself:-)

starts on the button, great driver, new tires all around including spare.
Technically and construction wise 100%. Looks have character

One of three ever built by Gonzalo "Nene" Syquia based in Manilla Philippines.
After which he started the company Michel Motors where a.o.
Lotus Seven's, A.C.Cobra's, MGTF's, Porsche Speedsters and Spyder's were hand build for sports cars lovers from around the globe.
He also was one of the founders of The Manila Sports Cars Club and now is retired having passed on the firm to his sons.

Two of the TC's (SS as they were called Syquia Special) are still running in Manila of which a green one is still in possession of Gonzalo and a red one by a friend of his.
Mine (ivory colored) was taken by another friend, whom he built it for, to the US when he moved there and ended up in the Netherlands where I found it.
In the meantime it has a Dutch registration and still the US title.
MOT till 6-2018.

The running gear of a Triumph Herald was used, obtained from the family owned Standard Triumph factories in Manila, the underslung chassis was handmade, measured from an original MGTC as was the body, metal and hardwood frame covered with fiberglass skin was used. Details a.o.like foldable front screen also built by hand.
Engine 948cc with dual SU carbs, independant suspension all round and 3 sets of 18 inch wheels were made using aluminum alloy that came from scrapped F-80 "Shooting Stars" after decommissioning from the Korean War! The fighter planes were based in Clark Field a few miles north of Manila.

Photo's and documentation of its provenance comes with the car.
A rare find, an absolute joy to drive! This is not a MG but a catagory of its own.
