Commentaires du vendeur sur 1979' Triumph Spitfire

HCC Bring you this lovely spitfire project, this is a car thats been in dry hibernation for some years and now needs recommissioning and some minor cosmetics . Its condition shows its been restored well at some point and is beautifully straight and rot free .For sale as is at this advertised price but be quick otherwise we will withdraw it from sale and get into it to make it a top car .

Bodywork ;; Finished in green this car shows no rot areas ,it looks to have had a big resto at some point as the panels are all too good , the paint could repair to a good standard with localised repairs and some panels repainted (bonnetcentre section and boot ) and the panel fit is way above many with excellent door gaps and alignment , wheel arches again are absolutely perfect , the boot lid has some indentations where things have been put on it over the years in storage ,it has a GT6 bonnet fitted which is perfect and worth very good money on its own.

Engine Bay ;; Looks mainly original , the engine is a replacement unit and i havnt attempted to start it but watch this space , it turns freely by hand ,

Interior ;; This wouldnt need a lot to make it very good the seats doorcards are all good and it has a high quality darker veneered wooden dash , being a later car it has the ignition switch higher up on the column . Lift the carpets and all floors are excellent.Sharp radio cassette from the era is in place

Boot area has the standard boot mat with cover for the spare wheel all in very good condition the spare is present , under the mat the boot floor is excellent with clean metal visible where paint has flaked , likewise the inner wheelarches are comparable to the best ive seen .

Underside ;; Looks perfect and good all round of course the suspension /brake components will need overhauling and painting while you have them off but will all be straightforward the cars been dry stored so has survived intact , floors are lovely ,its got a full stainless exhaust with the labels still on , new rear axle/diff ,front suspension will again need a recommission and paint while its off to make perfect but all easy work to undertake .wheels are good but the tyres will want replacing as they're badly cracked on the walls an indication of the time its been stored

summary ;; if you want an easy rock solid spitfire project this really is it ,you need to see it to see just how good it is , the pictures dont do it justice wheel arches are crisp and arrow straight , its a totally rock solid rust free very straight car , the bonnet would have cost a fortune and is absolutely like new , door fit is fantastic , boot floor like new , call us from 9am to 9pm to find out more , this has the makings of a top car , if it dosnt sell quickly we will do the car and make it perfect and retail it high . Overseas buyers welcome and we can send more pics and do detailed phone descriptions /video walk rounds to help you decide if the car is for you .We can also help with UK delivery to most ports or your home address at a cost
