Commentaires du vendeur sur 1959' Triumph TR3 A
In 1957 the TR3 was updated with various changes including a full width radiator grille, and this facelifted model was commonly referred to as the Triumph "TR3A". However, the cars were not badged as such, and the "TR3A" name was not used officially. The "TR3A" was built between 1957 and 1962.
This example was originally exported as LHD to USA. It had a frame off complete restoration in 1998, and was then imported back to the UK in 2005. The car has been converted to RHD with upgraded Rack and Pinion steering and correct UK dash fitted.
The engine was rebuilt by Bill Piggott, the TR club director, and was also reworked for unleaded fuel. It also benefits from a rocker shaft oil feed conversion, alternator conversion and new alternator, electronic ignition, high torque starter, new Facet fuel pump, SU carb refurbishment, spindles and seals, crank pulley damper, high capacity water pump, a four core radiator, and a Kenlowe fan.
The brakes have been given a calliper refurbishment, new pipes, and the drums have been skimmed. The car is fitted with wire wheels and centre lock hubs, a Moto Lita wood steering wheel (the original is included with the car), new front spots and badge bar. It also comes complete with a sound full hood, sidescreens , full tonneau, a still in the package all weather cover, two sets of keys, and bonnet keys.
The car is registered as a historic vehicle, so there is no road tax or MOT required. The vendor describes the car as being in very good all round condition.
