Ending a terrific line of models the TR6 finished production in 1975 and all subsequent models like the TR7 had unfortunately lost the Sixties feel and looks of the original TR range.
So the TR6 was the end of an era of iconic cars.
This example was produced in 1972 for the UK market(150 bhp) and has stayed in this country from new.
She is finished in Pimento red with black leather and overdrive and restored around 2011 with a super photo record in the extensive history file and to the highest standards.
During the work the engine was tuned and rebuilt and including a sensible conversion to triple Webers providing 20bhp more and improving reliability.
She also has the benefit of upgraded suspension and brakes and is one of the best driving TR6 available.
She has a super history file with lots of invoices and mots and has covered around 500 miles since restoration
The work has been carried out to a very high standard which has stood the test of time and she still looks stunning today with an underbody finished as well as the paintwork.
This is a mighty performer with the slick overdrive gearbox meaning you can cruise at high speeds without stress and the handling and braking is much improved over a standard car.
Currently undervalued the TR6 is a sure fire great investment opportunity especially those that have enjoyed recent expenditure like this one.
