Commentaires du vendeur sur 1948' Vauxhall Velox
After ww2 Vauxhall and there GM masters were very keen to bring a new model to the British market, but with raw materials in short supply they were forced to utilize pre war pressings of the model 14 with a much altered front and rear end so in 1948 the Velox and Wyvern rolled of the production line . ENV892 is one of the very early cars and so has the much sort after small headlights , off cream wheel colour and over riders to denote as a Velox. The dark blue paint work is in good condition and sets off the excellent bright work beautifully ,the underside has been wax oiled little to no rust and little evidence of being welded, the interior is partly restored with the seat covers and the headlining being original One other future is the super rare vauxhall valve radio which was a first for a uk car , the carpet is a little tattered in places ,but not horrendous. There is a on going compression issue affecting two cylinders which a rebore and new oversize pistons would cure cylinder head has been reworked and a new card fitted the car starts and runs fine once it's up and going I have taken the work into account with the valuation. All in all a very nice example of a rare and unique Vauxhall and a real head turner .
